Baby Olivia

March 26, 2009

You know those little baby dolls that look super real? That’s what baby Olivia reminded me of. Her skin was that perfect olive-colored doll skin, and it was hard to belive that she was a real baby. Monica and John are absolutely smitten, of course! Here are a few of my faves from their two-part session (the first one she was awake the whole time…second time she slept like an angel the entire session).  Congrats on your beautiful baby girl!

ginny: Beautiful job! These turned out to be every bit worth all the effort you put into them. Once again you blow me away with your talent

Since my blog time is limited, I don’t get to post every session.  So here’s a smattering of some recent work. Enjoy!

So, after doing the maternity session, then the hospital session on day one, I then had the great pleasure of an at-home newborn session for Cate when she was three weeks old.  As you can see, I just love photographing Emily, Chris, and Cate!  Here’s a sneak peek at one I loved from her nursery.  It’s got a vintage conversion with a texture applied to give it a unique look.  More to come!

Cate’s First Day

May 1, 2008

I was so blessed to photograph baby Cate on Tuesday when she was just 18 hours old!  I can’t think of anywhere I’d rather have been than capturing Chris and Emily snuggling with their brand new baby girl.  Cate is absolutely ADORABLE, with a full head of beautiful, dark hair (like my own baby was supposed to have but DIDN’T!) and Daddy’s receding hairline (no worries, Chris, it’ll grow in!!!)

I get to go to the Hardan house again next week to photograph Cate at home in her darling nursery, and I can’t wait!  Congratulations, Chris and Emily, I’m so happy for you both!  I hope you enjoy the preview of your photos.

Charlotte Baumann: Cate is a beautiful baby. Congratulations to the entire family on your arrival. Aunt Charlotte

Betty Federhofer(Creamer): Congratulations on your new arrival.. Cate is a very cute baby . Aunt Betty

Today’s Money Shot!

April 24, 2008

I told Lori and Roman that this was going on my website!  Lori says she has to have this image, and I agree.  This little guy is one of the cutest and sweetest babies I have ever had the pleasure of photographing.  I’ll be posting more of him and his family soon.  This shot is just too funny!

jessica: Haha!! Too funny!! Can't wait to see more!

I recently had the opportunity to photograph Chris and Emily in their home as they eagerly await the arrival of their first baby.  I absolutely LOVE on-location sessions.  It lends such a personal touch to the photographs, allows for one of a kind images, and it’s challenging to find good light and locations in the home.  Chris and Emily have a beautiful home with lots of light, too.  They were both so much fun and I am sooooo excited to go back to their house in the next week or two and photograph them with their new baby girl.  Oh, and I’m going to be taking photos of her at the hospital, too!  I can’t get enough of this family!  Hopefully Chris will be able to wear a few more outfits at the next session, I think he was disappointed last time that he didn’t get to change that much :)  Just teasin’ ya, Chris!  Here’s a few from the session.
